How We Help

From evaluation to follow-up the professionals at Sleep Centers of Middle Tennessee are committed to providing you top quality care. Our highly qualified sleep disorder experts are dedicated to helping you get a good night’s sleep. We use your diagnostic results and the expertise of specialists to design your personal treatment plan. Your treatment plan may involve a long-term commitment and we’ll be with you every step of the way.

1. Consultation & Evaluation

During your consultation, a Board-Certified Sleep Medicine Specialist will thoroughly evaluate symptoms, history, and physical features to screen for different sleep disorders. If an overnight sleep study (polysomnogram) is needed in the evaluation, you and your Sleep Medicine Specialist will determine which form of sleep testing (in-laboratory testing or home testing) is most appropriate and economical for your case. Your sleep testing (called a sleep study) may be scheduled and carried out at one of our conveniently located state-of-the-art sleep laboratories.

2. Diagnosis

After your sleep study, the results are often reviewed as part of an interdisciplinary team meeting, with specialties including (but not limited to): pulmonology, otolaryngology, oral surgery, orthodontics, psychology, respiratory therapy, and nursing. Once your results are assessed, appropriate treatment recommendations will be made.

3. Treatment

Treatment is formulated based on your individual diagnosis and unique healthcare needs. Our team of multidisciplinary, board certified specialists is skilled at making the correct diagnosis, and efficiently implementing the most effective treatment to correct any sleep problem. Treatment will be implemented quickly, but may involve a long term commitment to care. Our clinicians are dedicated to your care, and will provide follow-up to ensure you receive optimal treatment.

4. Follow Up Care

Follow-up appointments are usually conducted at the sleep clinic and with the appropriate specialist. You should expect to continue follow-up appointments until stable resolution of your sleep symptoms is seen. Continued follow-up appointments are usually available on an unlimited, as-needed basis.
