Leading the Way to Better Care

For over 25 years, Sleep Centers of Middle Tennessee’s Sleep Medicine Medical Practice has been diagnosing and successfully treating more than 90 sleep disorders. It doesn’t end there.

We’re also focused on research to ensure our patients receive the most advanced diagnosis and treatments available. We maintain a database of patients interested in participating in sleep medicine research related to diagnosis and treatment.

If you’re interested in participating in research studies, fill out an interest form and you’ll be considered and contacted if you qualify. Some of these studies offer compensation and/or free medical equipment for participation.

Please note: This is not an application for a particular study but rather a survey to indicate that you might be interested in participating in a study. When a study opportunity you qualify for becomes available, you will be contacted with specific details about the study. At that time, you will have the option to decide whether you’d like to participate.

To Be Considered For Research Opportunities

We conduct research on an ongoing basis and are looking for patients interested in new diagnostic and treatment options, including treatments related to CPAP therapy and masks.

As new studies become available, qualified participants will be chosen who have submitted their interest and been added to the database. If selected you will be contacted for participation.

Our research helps save lives. In 2021 our research was published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine. It highlighted a retrospective landmark article on 4000 consecutive patients receiving CPAP and demonstrated that patients receiving integrated care along with treatment are substantially more likely to continue their treatment.

The study also highlighted the disadvantage to Medicare patients who are required by Stark Law to obtain their CPAP equipment from external durable medical equipment companies.
