Sleep Medicine Physician Liaison / Physician Representative

Role Overview 

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Physician Representative to join our growing sleep medicine practice. In this role, you will be the face of our practice, responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with referring physicians, including Primary Care Providers (PCPs), ENTs, Cardiologists, and Pulmonologists. Your primary goal is to educate the local medical community on the importance of sleep health and drive patient referrals for diagnostic services and treatment solutions. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Territory Management: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to increase referral volume within a defined geographic territory. 
  • Physician Outreach: Conduct daily in-person visits to medical offices to educate providers and staff on our sleep diagnostic services (In-center and Home Sleep Testing). 
  • Relationship Building: Identify and cultivate long-term partnerships with “gatekeepers” and key decision-makers in high-volume clinics. 
  • Educational Presentations: Organize and lead “Lunch and Learn” sessions or clinical presentations to highlight our treatment outcomes and patient compliance rates. 
  • Market Analysis: Utilize CRM tools to track referral patterns, maintain detailed contact logs, and report on competitive market trends. 
  • Patient Advocacy: Act as a bridge between referring offices and our clinical team to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new patients. 

Qualifications 

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in Medical SalesPharmaceutical Sales, or DME (Disposable Medical Equipment) sales preferred. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a Health Science related field. 
  • Clinical Knowledge: Basic understanding of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), CPAP therapy, and diagnostic testing is a significant plus. 
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to “speak the language” of clinical professionals. 
  • Self-Starter: Must be highly motivated with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas. 
  • Creative: Able to think critically and creatively to drive referrals from untapped markets. 
  • Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for daily travel within the territory.
